Founded in 2001 by Vince “Whey Cooler” Andrews, Chemikal Entertainment Group LLC (CEG) began as a promotional vehicle for the groundbreaking live performances of Pretty Poison featuring Jade Starling. What started as a mission to showcase one group quickly evolved into a full-service booking and talent procurement agency serving the Delaware Valley and Philadelphia tri-state area.

In its early years, CEG capitalized on the flexibility of the Freestyle music community, where most artists operated non-exclusively—allowing CEG to book nearly every major name in the genre. From club classics to crossover chart-toppers, CEG curated shows featuring legends like Stevie B, Lisa Lisa, Exposé, C+C Music Factory, Rob Base, Tone Loc, and many more.

Recognizing the power of inclusion and community, CEG developed lasting partnerships within the LGBTQ+ scene, facilitating performances at Pride festivals and LGBTQ+ nightclubs throughout the region. This commitment expanded the reach of Freestyle and Dance music into dynamic new spaces.

🔹 Collaborative Successes

CEG worked closely with key industry partners, including a long-standing alliance with iHeartRadio’s MIX 106 and Matt Schultz, leading to a beloved concert series at the Coastline Restaurant & Nightclub from 2006–2013. The series ran until the unfortunate passing of venue owner Chris Mortos.

From 2017 through 2020, CEG launched several signature events:

Cupid’s Ball (a popular winter concert franchise),

Freestyle Extravaganza at Live! Hotel & Casino in Philadelphia’s stadium district,

Large-scale events at The Block inside Harrah’s Casino Chester.

Beyond Freestyle, CEG’s bookings expanded into pop, rock, hip hop, reality television, and sports personalities, including:

Artists like Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, Cyndi Lauper, Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy), Taylor Dayne, Tom Keifer (Cinderella), Winger, and John Corabi (Mötley Crüe)

🔹 Ongoing Impact

Most recently, CEG has played a key role in the annual Club MTV Reunion Party in Cancún, featured at the renowned Sands Festival. CEG has provided acts as diverse as Morris Day and the Time, Vanilla Ice, Frankie Goes to Hollywood's Holly Johnson, Johnny Hates Jazz, The Hooters, Pep of Salt and Pepa, Milli Vanilli's Fab Morvan, Technotronic, Haddaway , Brenda K Starr, Stevie B, Lisa Lisa, Mary Jane Girls, Tiffany and Pretty Poison f/ Jade Starling.
